The Marine Helper services — CV preparation, a professional tool for mailing CVs to crewing companies and shipowners, candidate selection, consultations, the free CV check — are provided "as is". We do not guarantee employment and are not responsible for the decisions crewing companies and shipowners make about your CV. By using the services you confirm that you have read this document and accept the limitations described in it.

What we do:

• prepare and update CVs on our branded templates from the data you provide;
• process your data and send your CV by e-mail to the companies in the packages you have chosen, recording the result in the mailing report;
• select strong candidates, free of charge for you, and offer their CVs to companies that pay us for access to them;
• advise on your CV, documents and job search — this is a separate paid service;
• check an uploaded CV free of charge and publish CV form samples.

What we do not do:

• we are not a crewing company or an employer, and we do not sign contracts on your behalf;
• we do not accompany your job search and do not advise as part of a mailing: the mailing is a tool you use yourself;
• as a matter of principle we do not invent or "improve" sea service, do not alter or forge documents, diplomas and certificates, and do not write in the CV anything that is not in your data;
• we are not a training centre, we run no courses and issue no certificates;
• we give no legal advice on labour, immigration or tax law;
• we do not vet crewing companies and shipowners and are not responsible for their actions, offers and conditions.

• You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter in the CV or give us to prepare it.
• We do not verify the authenticity of information about sea service, documents, education and qualifications, and we are not obliged to.
• Knowingly false information may lead to a company's refusal, the withdrawal of an offer or the termination of a contract; the responsibility for that is yours.
• If we receive a CV that knowingly contains another person's data or forged documents, we may refuse the service.

The result of a mailing depends on your rank, the set and validity of your documents, your level of English and current market demand — factors we do not control. We do not guarantee that every company will read the e-mail, reply to it, invite you to an interview or offer you a job. A lack of replies from companies does not count as improper performance of the service if the e-mails were sent.

Performance of a mailing is confirmed by objective data — the mailing report: sending, delivery, opens and clicks for each company. The number of calls and responses and a subjective assessment of the result are not a criterion of performance of the service and give no right to a refund or a free repeat mailing.

• The MLC 2006 (Standard A1.4) prohibits recruitment and placement services from charging a seafarer for recruitment, directly or indirectly.
• If a company that received your CV asks for money for a vacancy, "processing", "reserving a place" or "visa support", that is a sign of a scam. Do not pay, and report it to us at support@marinehelper.com.
• Our fee is the price of the mailing, CV preparation or consultation service. The price of a mailing is a fee for processing data and sending e-mails, not for employment or for accompanying your job search. We do not charge seafarers for recruitment and we do not request payment on behalf of companies. In candidate selection, companies pay for access to the CVs, and participation is free for the seafarer.
• We are not responsible for damage caused by third parties posing as crewing companies or as Marine Helper. E-mails from us come from addresses on the marinehelper.com domain.

The "Seafarer documents and training centres" section is reference information from public sources.

• Training, programmes, prices, schedules and the issuing of documents are provided by the training centres themselves; they are responsible for them.
• We publish data from the centres' websites and from maritime administration registers, and we do not guarantee that it is complete or current.
• Document requirements depend on the ship's flag, the rank and the maritime administration, and may change without our knowledge.
• You enter into the training contract directly with the centre; we are not a party to that contract and receive no payment for courses.
• Before paying, verify the centre in the maritime administration register and confirm the terms with it directly.

Our sites contain links to the sites of companies, training centres, payment providers and app stores. We do not control their content, terms and privacy policies and are not responsible for them. The companies that received your CV process it as independent data controllers under their own rules.

• The sites, the marinehelper.com/app web app and the mobile app are provided "as is" and "as available": we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absence of errors.
• The mobile app is distributed through the App Store and Google Play. New features may first appear in test versions, which may contain errors; the app's features may change or disappear.
• Automated CV checks, company matching and text drafts are produced with AI models and may contain inaccuracies. Check the result before using it.
• We may change, restrict or switch off features of the sites and apps, including free ones, without prior notice.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. We are not liable for lost profit, the loss of a contract, relocation or training expenses and other indirect losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the services. Nothing in this document limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, or affects the mandatory consumer rights granted by the law of your country.

This document is part of the Terms of Service and is governed by the law of Ukraine. The dispute resolution procedure is described in the Terms of Service.
