SSM Training Centre, the maritime training arm of Split Ship Management (established 1994), is one of the three oldest training centres in Europe and offers 371 courses with modern bridge and engine simulators. Its courses comply with IMO and STCW standards and are approved by the Croatian Maritime Authority, MCA UK, the Panama Maritime Authority and Liberia. It trains over 4,500 seafarers annually and holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification.

Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT), founded in 1998 in Kilpauk, Chennai, is one of India's largest maritime training institutions, featuring five campuses, over 100 faculty and a portfolio of more than 75 approved courses. Its courses are approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (Government of India) and the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency, it is affiliated with the Indian Maritime University, and it is ISO 9001:2015 certified by Bureau Veritas. Main campuses are in Chennai and Visakhapatnam.
